Beautiful colours and intricate movements define Alex Echo's work. He makes sure that no paint is wasted - the spills of paint that drip from his canvas he then scrapes and saves for future use.

Here at South Molton Street, we are huge fans of Alex Echo's work.
Alex Echo was born in Colorado, USA and is now based in the UK. Influenced hugely by the english countryside, Alex draws upon the elements of light, water time and movement.
His paintings express intricate and numerous movements to form many compositions.
He also insists on being eco friendly used the highest based water soluble paints and a non toxic apoxy resin which he glazes as a last minute touch over his works.
His pieces have shown in the Wallace Collection and are in private collections such as; HSH Prince Rainier of Monaco, Oprah Winfrey, Robert Downey Jr, Cindy Crawford and President Jimmy Carter.
On display now we have two special pieces of his that focus on leaves in different seasons..

Bob Dylan's release of his new album 'Tempest' this coming September marks his 50th year anniversary as a recording artist.
To mark his 50th year anniversary we feel it's a fantastic time to celebrate with the release of his brand new collection.
A brief history into 'The Drawn Blank Series' ....
Bob Dylan is renowned for his emotionally stirring live musical performances on tour. In 1989 - 1992, he spent a great amount of time on the road touring America, Europe and Asia with only himself for company. This solitary and at times trying period led him to draw impulsively from what he saw. Personal and unjudged, his drawings were an expression of how he perceived the world. These original drawings then later took form as a book called 'The Drawn Blank Series' and was published in 1994. It was then that the extent and skill of his work became apparent.
Years later in a burst of creative concentration, these drawings were produced to a larger scale and turned into a series of paintings.
Exciting news Bob Dylan fans!
Bob Dylan has just released a new collection from the 'Drawn Blank Series'.
Officially launching on Saturday 18th and we would love to invite you to the preview on Thursday 16th August between 5 - 8pm here at 42 South Molton Street, London W1K 5RR. Experience a rare insight into the solitary journey of a music icon.

Louis Sidoli Appearance at Artica Gallery, South Molton Street on 21st July
Forget the clouds and join us from 3-5pm for a summer cocktail with the team and of course our special guest Louis Sidoli. He will be making an appearance and chatting about his work, particularly his most recent striking collection 'Most Wanted'
“I like to think of this collection as a bit like Andy Warhol on steroids,”laughs Louis Sidoli
'Most Wanted' focuses on a range of the most iconic personalities throughout the 20th century. Drawing inspiration from Andy Warhol himself, Louis has created a series of portraits from black and white vintage mugshots and later adds luminous monochrome wash for the finishing touch.
Louis comments that what draws him to each mug shot is that there are no special lighting or make-up artists, just an off the cuff shot taken by police clerks which adds 'authenticity' and a 'raw' feel to the subjects.
What is massively conveyed in Sidoli's work is his ability to convey these iconic personalities and lead you to wonder about the personal story behind each individual portrait.
And what a reaction we recieve!
“Collectors seem to be responding to the personality on the screen,” says Sidoli, who has noticed that there has been a surprisingly cross-generational response.“These guys are such famous and unique individuals that their appeal resonates across all age groups - and it seems just one image is not enough for some collectors.”
